I am just becoming more familiar with Miller, but so far I assess him as a man of great integrity and insight. I may disagree with him on direction of policy, theology, and all kinds of things – and I would readily accept an opportunity to dialog with him on those because he seems to be the type who in honestly open to investigate a wide spectrum of ideas and points of view. That is why he is in trouble – consider that!
In the video, Miller notes that he was hired into NYU by Neil Postman (deceased). I have read much of Postman’s work and admire him also as someone genuinely open to seeking truth, and sharing it. Shouldn’t that be the role of the university?
